The connection between Anca Alexandrescu and the Nordis group

The scenes of the press conference presenting the candidate Anca Alexandrescu offered a “teaser” for the campaign of the new politician. He got angry, lashed out and interrupted the others, including George Simion. And the most precipitated when she was asked about the holidays paid by Nordis.

“Fake!”, “Don't bother to ask the question…”, this is how Anca Alexandrescu, the candidate supported by AUR, addressed the room composed of journalists. Regarding the superior contempt, the sequences reminded of Sorin Oprescu, one of the politicians advised over time by Anca Alexandrescu.

It is true that it could be worse. For example, the urban solutions program “March!”, one of the favorite expressions from the director's shows, was missing. This is how Anca Alexandrescu calls those who upset her on TV: “March”.

“March” did not appear at the first meeting, but we will see how quickly the new politician lost her temper and patience.

Chelaru's discreet intervention

Although she is experienced and “has the words to her”, Alexandrescu was so irritated by the exit of her own fans' bubble that someone behind her urged her, in a whisper, to calm down. The press in the room heard it. It was Mircia Chelaru, the former general and senator from Argeș of the AUR, who tried to temper the candidate, to no avail.

George Simion also felt the tension. President AUR started talking about social peace and the disappearance of hatred between Romanians. Everyone says they want it. But when you resort to radical attacks you will find yourself having to procure an ever-increasing dose in an attempt to maintain the same level of vote. Like genies, extremism does not go back into the bottle.

The risk in the case of Alexandrescu's campaign is that due to the verbal bluntness of the politician, of Realitatea TV, which will accompany her, but also of the counter effects, such as Romania TV, the candidate's ideas will not be heard, but only her cries. Ion Cristoiu, who cannot be suspected of being a priori against AUR, also noted in a video commentary after the launch of Alexandrescu's candidacy the danger of the position of TV producer put on the line.

Predominantly associated with the image of scandal, not only Anca Alexandrescu, but no other politician is making it easy in his attempt to win Bucharest.

CNA responsibility

The fact that Anca Alexandrescu overturned the props of the TV show during the election campaign is not news. It would be unfair to impugn his patent. Our televisions already have the experience of converting pixels into votes.

The “prime time” TV shows in Romania offered politics a party leader, a mayor of the Capital and several MEPs. Not Anca Alexandrescu opened the list, but Dan Diaconescu, Gabriela Firea or Rareș Bogdan.

And the National Broadcasting Council has an important role here. The degradation of television news has continued, to the point where they are tools in the hands of those who own or produce their broadcasts. All that remains is the illusion of the initial understanding: “Citizens give the license, and in return the televisions provide the information.”

Under the eyes of the CNA, televisions have become electronic batons, propaganda tools or head-scratchers, depending on the desire of a TV producer arranging a later career.

It does not mean that CNA did nothing. But it has consistently done less than the speed with which the television climate has degraded. The curve of adaptation of the CNA and legislation was below the curve of the comet that brought hatred. Until we got to “March”.

The Nordis case

Another interesting episode from the presentation of the candidacy was the one in which the new politician was asked about her vacations, paid for by Nordis.

Recorder discovered, in tax documents, that a company from the Nordis group paid vacations for groups of politicians, for an ANAF inspector and for TV producer Anca Alexandrescu.

Alexandrescu traveled with the company, at the company's expense. It does not appear in the documents that the producer Realitatea paid. In fact, the company of the Nordis group reduced its respective expenses from the tax base, according to the findings of the Tax Office. If the company had continued to bill the expenses to the politicians and to Alexandrescu, the company would no longer have considered them as its deductible costs. On the contrary, he would have shown the Treasury that he received the money.

When asked by the Recorder, the reality TV star said she paid. He added that he no longer has those invoices, which are really older. So Anca Alexandrescu showed other, more recent invoices, with no relevance to the specific case.

At the launch of her candidacy, when asked to explain the Nordis case, the new politician got angry. He interrupted the reporter. He stated that he clarified everything and presented the invoices. It's not true. Until now, Anca Alexandrescu has not shown how she paid the expenses that appear to be incurred by the company, expenses published by the Recorder.
