Experts indicate that the key factor influencing Trump's decline in popularity are economic problems. The price increase was recognized by 47 percent. respondents as the most important problem. Moreover, 68 percent respondents believe that things in the country are heading in the wrong direction, and 72 percent assesses the state of the economy as bad.
The latest study was published the day before key state elections in Virginia, New Jersey and the mayor of New York. It indicates that not only Trump, but also the opposition Democratic Party is struggling with the problem of low support. Only 29 percent respondents express a positive opinion about Democrats, while 55 percent evaluates them negatively. The majority of dissatisfied voters indicate disappointment with the attitude of the opposition party.
Despite the criticism, Democrats appear to have an advantage in the upcoming elections. In Virginia, Abigail Spanberger, a former congresswoman and CIA officer, is leading the governor's race by almost 9 points over Republican Winsome Earl-Sears, according to an average of polls from RealClearPolitics. In New Jersey, Mikie Sherill, also a former congresswoman, leads Jack Ciatarelli by 3.3 percentage points.

In New York, traditionally dominated by Democrats, 34-year-old socialist Zohran Mamdani seems a sure winner in the mayoral race. Mamdani is running against former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is running as an independent, and Republican Curtis Sliwa. Polls show Mamdani leading by almost 15 points over Cuomo and 28 percentage points over Sliwa.
