In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 31-year-old resident of Zelenogorsk was brought to administrative responsibility for using self-service checkouts in a supermarket to reduce the cost of purchases.
The deception was revealed when employees of the retail chain, during an audit, revealed facts of a shortage of money. When viewing recordings from surveillance cameras, it turned out that an unscrupulous customer, when paying at the checkout, independently replaced the product with a cheaper one, or did not scan the barcodes at all.
“As a result, during four visits to the store, the woman “saved” about 4.5 thousand rubles. Police officers identified her and detained her. They explained that she acted this way on the advice of friends,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In relation to the attacker, protocols were drawn up under Article 7.27.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Causing property damage by deception or abuse of trust” and part 2 of Article 7.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Petty theft”. The court found her guilty and imposed a fine of 18 thousand rubles. She also voluntarily compensated for the damage caused to the trading network.
