The Ministry of Emergency Situations named the main risks of November in Krasnoyarsk and the region

2 November 13:40
During the monthly press conference at the Komsomolskaya Pravda media holding, Evgeniy Fursa, Deputy Head of the Civil Defense and Population Protection Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Krasnoyarsk Territory told residents of the region about the main risks.
The risk of man-made fires remains throughout the region. There may be an increase in cases of household fires, mainly in the private sector, due to lower night temperatures and, as a consequence, active use of stoves and household electrical appliances.
Homes with stove heating and fireplaces are potential sources of carbon monoxide poisoning. Improper operation increases the risk of carbon monoxide entering the room.
“Check the wiring; in winter, the load on it increases. The stove in the house must be in good condition (whitewashed – the leakage of the masonry is visible on the white), there must be a pre-furnace sheet on the floor under the firebox, storing flammable liquids and things near the stove is strictly prohibited. Elimination of deficiencies and repair of furnace equipment should be entrusted to qualified specialists,” warns Evgeniy Fursa.
