The General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest (DGPMB) sent details regarding a case of domestic violence that happened on October 24, 2025. A head of the Traffic Police is being investigated by superiors, after he beat his judge wife.

“On October 24, 2025, around 9:15 a.m., the police officers of Section 5 of the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest were alerted, by calling 112, by a woman, aged 32, regarding the fact that she had been physically assaulted by her husband, at an address in Sector 1 of the Capital”, according to the Information and Public Relations Service of the DGPMB.
Sources close to the investigation stated that the aggressive husband is a chief inspector in the Traffic Police, and his wife is a judge.
When the police arrived, the woman reported that the assault took place as a result of a spontaneous conflict. After the checks, it was found that she showed signs of violence. Although a medical team was requested, the victim refused treatment.
The risk assessment form was also prepared, but she refused to issue a temporary protection order and reserved the right to file a preliminary complaint.
The investigations are continued by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the District 1 Court, under the aspect of committing the crime of domestic violence. In parallel, the leadership of the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate ordered the performance of internal checks, through the competent structure.
