Drone attack on Russia. Temporarily closed airports, power outages


The Russian military reported the destruction of over 30 unmanned aerial vehicles over several local regions. Most of them over the Belgorod region, as well as a few over the Voronezh and Moscow regions, as well as Crimea, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

At the same time, the authorities of the city of Zhukovsky in the Moscow Oblast reported disruptions in electricity supplies in nearby towns. Footage has appeared online documenting darkness on some of the streets there.

Also that night, temporary restrictions on departures and arrivals were introduced at the airports in Penza, Samara, Saratov, Kaluga and Tambov, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) said.
In the case of the latter two ports, the authorities explicitly stated that there was a risk of drone attacks there.
