Before Dumbrăvița – FastRomanian Cup group match, Gazeta Sporturilor reporters caught the first signs of deterioration of the ultra-modern arena in Giulești.

The Giulești stadium, named “Superbet Arena”, was inaugurated in March 2022 and is located right on the site of the old Rapid arena.

In one of the VIP boxes it can be seen that the ceiling was damaged due to the rains. Water has seeped past the ceiling lights and some cracks can also be seen.

That box was not occupied for this match, until the situation is rectified. The stadium is under the administration of Club Sportiv Rapid, and Dan Șucu's team is the main tenant.

Construction work on the sports complex started in the fall of 2019, and the total value of the investment was approximately 40 million euros. The stadium has a capacity of 14,000 seats.

From the moment the bulldozers entered Giulești, for the demolition of the old arena, until the new stadium was officially handed over to the Sports Club, on January 4, 2022, two years, ten months and ten days passed.
