A 16-year-old boy felt a sharp pain in his eyes and called an ambulance. In ophthalmology at the Roshal Children's Clinical Center, he complained of lacrimation, fear of light, swelling of the eyelids and severe blurred vision. Doctors found a corneal ulcer in the left eye and a foreign substance with villi in the right eye. All this could result in severe inflammation and blindness.
After 7 days of therapy, the teenager was discharged and feels well. What lies ahead is rehabilitation and a ban on lenses for at least six months.
