The consolidation of some hospital bodies in the Capital and the modification of the rules for the protection of green spaces, on the agenda of the CGMB. Higher fines for contraventions

Several projects regarding a collaboration protocol between the Municipality and the Green Belt Foundation for the implementation of the Bucharest-Ilfov Green Belt Operational Plan, the modification of the rules for the protection of green spaces by increasing the fines for contraventions and the introduction of new obligations are on the agenda of the meeting of the General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest (CGMB) on Thursday.

One of the projects that will be debated at the CGMB meeting is the one regarding the approval of the collaboration protocol between the Municipality and the Green Belt Foundation for the elaboration, adoption and implementation of the Bucharest-Ilfov Green Belt Operational Plan (PO-CVBI).
The purpose of the protocol is the implementation of the Bucharest-Ilfov Green Belt, through the collaboration of the parties and the realization of all the necessary steps, including, depending on the needs, by co-opting or involving other relevant actors – public authorities, representatives of civil society, the academic environment and the private sector.
Modification of the rules for the protection of green spaces
The rules for the protection of green spaces in Bucharest are to be modified, by increasing fines for contraventions and introducing new obligations in the field, according to another draft decision on the agenda. According to the approval report, it is proposed to increase the amount of fines for contraventions with a major impact on green spaces and trees, as the current, reduced values did not have a preventive effect. The measure aims to protect the public interest and improve air quality. The norms are also supplemented with new illegal acts, such as the intentional reduction of the surface of a green space by covering it with concrete, asphalt, tiles or other materials that prevent the development of vegetation.
Consolidation of the C9 Corps from the Clinical Hospital of Psychiatry “Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia
Among the decision projects on the agenda is the one regarding the energetic rehabilitation and consolidation of the C9 Corps from the Clinical Hospital of Psychiatry “Prof. Dr. Alexandru Obregia”, for financing through the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program 2021-2027. The total value of the project is over 33 million lei (including VAT), of which non-refundable eligible expenses in the amount of approximately 30.4 million lei (including VAT).
Development of treatment capacity at the Colentina Hospital
The General Councilors of the Capital will analyze the investment project “The development of interventional treatment capacity and the increase of diagnostic capacity for the critical patient with acute cerebrovascular pathology in the Colentina Clinical Hospital“, proposed for financing through the Health Program, ERDF funds. The total value of the project is over 18.6 million lei (including VAT), of which non-refundable eligible expenses of almost 18.3 million lei (including VAT).
The General Council of the Municipality of Bucharest will also debate the project regarding the energy rehabilitation and consolidation of Pavilion A – Body C7 at the Colentina Clinical Hospital, with a view to financing through the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Program 2021-2027. The total value of the investment is 16.56 million lei (with VAT), of which non-refundable eligible expenses of over 15 million lei (with VAT).
The general councilors will also debate a project on the rehabilitation of the Library “Dimitrie Bolintineanu” with over 600,000 lei (to which VAT is added), but also a draft decision regarding capital repairs at Fântâna “George Gr. Cantacuzino”, in the amount of approximately 8.7 million lei (to which VAT is added).
