Despite daily attacks on civilians, she refused to evacuate, feeling responsible for over 20 goats. In an interview with journalist Zarina Zabrisky in September, she explained that she remained, even though her house was destroyed. Russian drones deliberately attack civilians, which the UN has deemed a crime against humanity.
