Rapid Vienna breathes before the match with Universitatea Craiova

Rapid Vienna, occupying the 3rd place in the Austrian first league, had not won a match, regardless of the name of the competition, for more than a month, since September 17, when they prevailed 2-1, away, in the Cup, against SV Oberwart.

After that match, there was a drought for the future opponents of the University of Craiova, who achieved a draw and then suffered five setbacks in a row in the championship and in the single group of the Conference League.

Among the five failed matches, Rapid Vienna suffered two defeats from as many games in the Conference League: 1-4 against Lech Poznan and 0-3 against Fiorentina.

In addition to these failures in the Conference League, Rapid Vienna also lost in the championship, with Austria Vienna, score 1-3, at home, with Salzburg, 1-2, and with LASK, 0-2.

Until next week's match with Craiova, Rapid Vienna will have two more games, one in the cup, on October 29, with St. Polten, and one in the championship, with Sturm Graz, on November 2.

For their part, the Olten team will play two more games before leaving Austria: a match in the Romanian Cup with Sănătatea Cluj, on Wednesday, October 29, and a championship game, with Rapid, on Sunday, November 2.
