FOURTH straight loss for Liverpool in the Premier League: 2-3 at home Brentford!

In midweek, Liverpool went to Frankfurt for their Champions League clash with Eintracht having lost 4 in a row in all competitions.

The champion of England shook and won by score in Germany, 5-1, result and performance that gave hope to the “red” supporters.

But that success was not echoed today. Arne Slot's students lost at Brentford's ground, where only Manchester City managed to impose themselves in the current season.

Liverpool, fourth consecutive defeat in the Premier League: 2-3 with Brentford

Dango Ouattara opened the scoring in the 5th minute, after a long kick from the edge by Kayode – the specialty of the house.

In the 45th minute, Kevin Schade doubled the hosts' advantage. Served by Damsgaard in the lane, behind Konate, the German shot badly, but Mamardashvili could not parry.

It looked like that would be the halftime score, though Milos Kerkez reduced the gap in the 45+5th minute, although only 3 additional minutes had been shown from the sideline.

If the first half was extended beyond expectations, so was the break. That's because 'centre' Simon Hooper suffered a muscle injury and was forced to leave Tim Robinson in charge.

Liverpool hoped that the success at the end of the first half would give them a new lease of life, but the hosts thwarted their plan, scoring through Igor Thiago in the 60th minute, from a penalty scored by Ouattara – fouled by Van Dijk.

Until the end, i.e. the 90th + 11th minute, all the “cormorants” could do was reduce the handicap. The final score, 3-2, was set Mohamed Salah in the 89th minute. It was the most beautiful success of the evening: the Egyptian took over with his left and finished with his right, from the drop, crossbar.

5 defeatsLiverpool have consecutive away matches in London: 2-3 with Fulham, 1-3 with Chelsea, 1-2 with Crystal Palace, 1-2 with Chelsea, now 2-3 with Brentford

Defeated again today, Liverpool remained with 15 points, dropping to 6th place in the Premier League. If Arsenal beat Crystal Palace on Sunday, the “Cormorants” would end stage 9 7 points behind the leaders.

And Brentford, for the first time with consecutive victories under the command of Keith Andrews, climbed to 10th place, having only two points behind today's opponent.
