

According to the Belarusian politician, in the Vitebsk region the situation is “worse than anywhere else.”
In particular, Lukashenko complained about the “death of cattle” in the region (139%), which is “unacceptable.”
“I felt really bad! I saw […] the most terrible situation in the Vitebsk region, terrible irresponsibility from top to bottom,” Lukashenko said during a meeting with the regional administration.
He demanded immediate action from local authorities, ruling out any excuses.
Context
Lukashenko’s health became the subject of discussion in the media after the politician’s appearance at the parade on May 9, 2023 in Moscow: they noticed a bandage on his arm, as if from a venous catheter; in addition, Lukashenko left Moscow hastily, without waiting for the completion of all the celebrations, and was absent from the informal breakfast of the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin with foreigners who had come to Moscow leaders.
On May 25, Lukashenko took part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Moscow and a day later, according to the Belarusian opposition, he was urgently hospitalized.
In July 2024, Lukashenko felt unwell at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Astana, media reported.
