The Service Center of the Chancellery of the President announced a tender for the long-term lease of eight limousines, allocating PLN 482,000 for this purpose. PLN for each car. As reported by “Rzeczpospolita”, this amount has been included in the public procurement plan, and the deadline for submitting offers is in the coming days.
This tender caused a lot of controversy. In the tender documentation, officials do not hide that they are looking for limousines. Such a term appeared directly, which is rare in this type of proceedings, where more neutral terms are usually used, such as “sedan” or “E-class car”..

The technical requirements are very restrictive. The limousines are to have a drive with a power of at least 210 kW (285.6 HP), all-axle drive, a minimum body length of 4,850 mm and extensive equipment, including an automatic gearbox with at least seven speeds, adaptive LED headlights, active cruise control, leather upholstery, navigation with European maps, 19-inch rims and a set of winter tires premium.
Additionally, CO2 emissions cannot exceed 50 g/km, which in practice means that only plug-in hybrids of premium brands such as Mercedes E, BMW 5 or Volvo S90 are available. Prices for these models start at almost PLN 400,000. PLN, which explains the high amount estimated for the order.
The President's Office of Media and Letters reported that pThe cars will be used in accordance with the needs of the Chancellery of the President, to service domestic and foreign delegations and to carry out current tasks. The office also explained that the tender was announced in connection with the contract for the rental of currently used vehicles, which ends in the first quarter of 2026, and the decision on the new procedure is to ensure the continuity of transport services after the expiry of the current contract.

According to unofficial information obtained by “Rzeczpospolita”, the new limousines are to be delivered to the presidential ministers.
The tender for new limousines was not originally included in the public procurement plan of the President's Chancellery Service Center. It was added only in June, when Karol Nawrocki was already president-elect. Initially, it was planned to allocate PLN 2.41 million for this purpose and rent ten cars, which would amount to PLN 241,000. PLN per vehicle. In September, after Nawrocki took office, the amount was increased to PLN 3.86 million and the number of cars decreased to eight.
