In Minusinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, police detained a 39-year-old woman suspected of stealing 200 thousand rubles from an 85-year-old grandmother.
It was established that the attacker promised to help the victim in healing from all ailments with the help of a strong ritual with money.
“She convinced the pensioner to go home to get her savings and bring them to her. The grandmother took 200 thousand rubles, wrapped it in newspaper, put the bundle in her sock and went to meet the “healer”. She gave “magic” instructions: do not touch the money during the day, take it out of the package in the evening, place it under the pillow and drink water. After the allotted time, the woman discovered a substitution – instead of money there was grass in the sock,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the arrest, the police seized 170 thousand rubles from the attacker and returned them to the grandmother.
Two criminal cases were opened against the false healer under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft committed with causing significant damage” and she was taken into custody.
