US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington's Middle Eastern allies are ready to enter the Gaza Strip with their forces to “set Hamas straight” and put a “brutal end” to its rule if the group violates its obligations. Trump, however, said he has told those countries not to do so yet.

“Our many NOW GREAT ALLIES in the Middle East and surrounding regions have clearly and decisively informed me with great enthusiasm that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to enter GAZA with heavy troops and 'set our Hamas straight' if Hamas continues to misbehave in violating its agreement with us,” Trump wrote on his social media site TruthSocial. But he added that he has told those countries, including Israel, not to do so yet.

There is still hope that Hamas will do the right thing. If he doesn't, the end of Hamas will be FAST, FURIOUS and BRUTAL! – he threatened. He also thanked Indonesia, which is one of the countries declaring readiness to send stabilization forces to the Gaza Strip.

Trump's statement was made in the context of tensions regarding the fulfillment of the terms of the ceasefire in force in the Gaza Strip. Despite the agreement, Hamas has still not returned all the bodies of the hostages to Israel, and the authorities in Jerusalem have accused it of deliberately delaying the process. Hamas maintains that it wants to return the bodies but is having technical difficulties recovering them. White House representatives speaking to the media expressed their belief that Hamas wants to return all the remains of the hostages, but is hampered by the destruction in the Gaza Strip.

Under the first phase of the deal, negotiated with the participation of the US and Arab states, Hamas released the last 20 living hostages last week and Israel released nearly 2,000. detained Palestinians.

Israel carried out a series of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip on Sunday in response to an attack that the military deemed an attack by Hamas and a ceasefire violation. The Palestinian group has not claimed responsibility for these acts. Two Israeli soldiers were killed in the attack and 45 Palestinians in the airstrikes that followed.

Additionally, tensions are caused by extrajudicial killings committed by Hamas fighters against members of rival groups that the terrorists accused of collaborating with Israel. Trump initially said he was not concerned about the executions because the Palestinian group had received temporary permission from the US to “bring order” to the Gaza Strip. He also argued that Hamas was fighting “very bad gangs.” But then he threatened in a post on Truth Social that “if Hamas continues to kill people in the Gaza Strip, which was not part of the agreement, we will have no choice but to move in and kill them!”

US Vice President JD Vance visited Israel on Tuesday. A representative of the authorities in Washington is to hold talks there on ways to implement Trump's peace plan.
