A youth forum “DvizhOk” was held in Moscow, in which SGC employees took part. One of the significant venues of the event was the youth rally, where young specialists met with the General Director of the Melnichenko Foundation, Tatyana Zhuravleva.
Tatyana Zhuravleva spoke in detail about the large-scale work of the Foundation and significant projects that are being implemented in the cities where the Company’s enterprises operate, including in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
A striking example of systematic work is the support of educational projects. Thus, “FM Professional Classes” are actively developing in the region, where schoolchildren study the exact sciences in depth and get acquainted with professions in the field of thermal energy. This helps children consciously approach the choice of their future specialty.
Another important career guidance project is the “FM Trade Teams”. High school students become participants in this movement, who not only visit enterprises of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) and get acquainted with production processes, but also help adults maintain cleanliness and order in their cities. This summer, the number of professional commanders included 200 guys from Nazarovo, Sharypovo, Borodino, Kansk and Minusinsk.
The Foundation has established personalized scholarships for students. Students of secondary specialized and higher educational institutions that train personnel for the fuel and energy industry can apply for financial support. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, these are students of the Siberian Federal University, the Minusinsk Agricultural College, the Krasnoyarsk College of Welding Technologies and Energy, the Kansk Polytechnic and Technological College, and the Nazarovo Energy Construction College.
In addition, the Foundation provides grant support to socially significant initiatives. This year alone, more than 40 projects of fuel and energy companies in the region received financial assistance. Thanks to this, for example, in the Kansky orphanage named after. Gagarin is preparing to open an IT laboratory. Its pupils and children from other orphanages will be able not only to study computer science in depth, but also learn to program and create applications for various gadgets.
And in Nazarovo, victory in a grant competition allowed local teenagers to take part in search expeditions. In September, the detachment worked in the Novgorod region, where they recovered the remains of Red Army soldiers. Four medallions, household items and personal belongings of military personnel were also discovered. Thanks to this work, it was possible to identify one of the dead – a native of the Achinsk region.
As part of the “Engine” forum, numerous meetings were held with the heads of various areas of the SGC. Young employees were able to informally discuss key issues of the Company’s development and share their ideas and initiatives.
Igor Zagorodniy, head of SGC development programs, emphasized the importance of such events: “This acquaintance, meeting with managers without a tie, helps to discuss various areas of the Company’s work, ask questions and learn a lot of new things. This motivates and helps young professionals move forward and works for the sustainable development of the Company.”
