“For over 150 years, every president has dreamed of having a ballroom in the White House to receive guests at receptions, state visits, etc.” – emphasized the American leader.

Trump promised that the White House would not be breached

In July, Trump revealed a plan to build a grand ballroom at the White House. Then – as the media recalled on Monday – he declared that the construction would not affect the existing structure of the seat of the US presidents.

— It will not interfere with the current building. It will be next to it, but not in contact with it, respecting the current building, which I am the biggest fan of. (…) This is my favorite place – said the president then.

The White House said that as part of the construction of the ballroom, the east wing, which was built in 1902, will be “fully modernized.”
