The Pro-Tok plant of transformer substations and high-voltage equipment won silver in the Design Prototype category, Environmental Design category. The design of a complete transformer substation received a high award.

The new appearance of the Pro-Tok substation was developed jointly with professional designers and students from the Institute of Architecture and Design of the Siberian Federal University. The project team's task was to rethink energy infrastructure as part of the architectural concept of residential complexes, part of the urban design code.

“We can transform such a model into any public space – local areas, natural parks,” explains Pro-Tok director Anna Zhiratkova. “The experience with substations, by the way, inspired us to completely “reboot” production – developing a creative concept for the DNA of the Pro-Tok brand in order to provide the client with not just a reliable and functional product, but also an aesthetically attractive, ergonomic and beautiful one.”

Prize winners will have the right to place the “Best Industrial Design in Russia” sign on their products, will be able to join next year’s expert council and participate in lectures, forums and speeches on behalf of the Prize.

The “Best Industrial Design of Russia” award has been held since 2023 on the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Government. This year, more than 500 projects from 60 regions of Russia became applicants for the Prize.
