After Nicușor Dan became the president of Romania, the Capital City Hall was taken over by the interim Stelian Bujduveanu. And today more information appeared, according to Libertatea, which suggests that the members of the PNL-PSD-USR-UDMR coalition decided that on December 7 there will be elections for the appointment of the general mayor of Bucharest.

Elections for Bucharest City Hall on the day with FCSB – Dinamo

In a first scenario, Sunday is expected to be a complicated one for the law enforcement agencies in Bucharest. This is because on the same day, in the capital, the Derby of Romania, FCSB – Dinamo, will take place. A match considered high risk by the Gendarmerie and the Police, as a result of the large number of fans who are announced to be present at the National Arena.

The match between FCSB and Dinamo is part of the 19th stage of the Super League. The LPF and the TV rights holders have not yet decided the schedule for that round, but the match will most likely be played on Sunday, being the most important of the round. If it is requested that the match not be scheduled on December 7, then it will be played on Saturday, 6.

And on Sunday there could be two other matches that are expected to be strong: FC Botoșani – Rapid or Universitatea Craiova – CFR Cluj.

The matches of the 19th round of the Superliga:

  • FCSB – Dynamo
  • U Cluj – Hermannstadt
  • Csikszereda – FC Arges
  • FC Botoșani – Fast
  • Metaloglobus – Lighthouse
  • Steel – Unirea Slobozia
  • University of Craiova – CFR Cluj
  • UTA – Oil

At the moment, the names circulated to run for Bucharest City Hall, according to Libertatea, are Daniel Băluță (PSD), Ciprian Ciucu (PNL) and Cătălin Drula (USR)
