In Krasnoyarsk, two teachers avoided dismissal after cases of abuse of a 9-year-old autistic student. His mother complained about this.
According to Komsomolskaya Pravda – Krasnoyarsk, for six months the class teacher and tutor subjected the boy to psychological violence. In the audio recordings, which the family obtained by secretly recording on a voice recorder, one can hear insults addressed to the child: “vegetable”, “dog”, “creature”, as well as the sounds of blows and children’s crying. The child's behavior changed dramatically: he began to be afraid of women over 45, experienced panic attacks at the sight of school, and cried constantly.
The court found one of the teachers, the class teacher, guilty of failure to fulfill the duties of raising a minor and imposed 380 hours of compulsory work. She left the school on her own. However, the tutor, who denied her involvement, continues to work at the educational institution.
The regional Ministry of Education confirmed that there are no plans to fire teachers. The response to the request of human rights activists indicated that the statute of limitations for administrative proceedings had expired. At the same time, the department reported that as a result of the inspection, school officials were subject to disciplinary liability.
The boy’s mother contacted the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, through the publication, after which a criminal case was opened regarding torture. The child is now being educated at home.
