Europeans call on the Verkhovna Rada to save Ukrzaliznytsia.
The situation with the financing of Ukrzaliznytsia is approaching critical. UZ losses from passenger transportation in 2025 may reach UAH 22 billion.
Therefore, the European Business Association (EBA) called on the people's deputies to increase the Reserve Fund of the state budget, and send an additional 8 billion in order not to lose the railway.
This money will help to support the UZ, which every day performs important work: transports people, goods, maintains communication with the frontline regions and provides logistics for the defense sector.
Previously, passengers were covered at the expense of cargo tariffs. But now Ukraine's industry is in a critical state, and it can no longer be used to finance UZ's losses.
