Over the first 9 months of 2025, tuberculosis was registered in 708 residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which is 112 less than in the same period last year. In general, the incidence rate during this period decreased by 13.4% – 24.9 people per 100 thousand population (in 2024 it was 28.8 per 100 thousand population). This was stated in the newsletter of the regional anti-tuberculosis dispensary about the epidemiological situation.

It is noted that the incidence rate among children decreased by 33.7% and among adolescents by 25.2%.

“The clinical cure rate for tuberculosis patients for three quarters of 2025 was 82.8%, and among patients infected with multidrug-resistant and extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis bacteria – 72.7%. In absolute numbers, this means that 769 patients have been cured of the insidious disease since the beginning of this year and were able to return to normal life,” the doctors said.

In total, since the beginning of this year, 1,881,436 people have been examined for tuberculosis, or 2/3 of the population of the region who are subject to screening.

“In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, over the last decade, there has been a steady trend towards improving the epidemiological situation regarding tuberculosis. The situation in 2025 remains favorable with a decrease in the number of registered cases, incidence rates and prevalence among both children and adults,” the Ministry of Health noted.

Doctors say that in the early stages, tuberculosis is completely curable and leaves no consequences. Now 95% of patients successfully cope with the disease, but in order to reach 100%, it is necessary for people to promptly seek help and undergo preventive examinations.
