On October 22 – next Wednesday – the WSE Foundation and the Warsaw Stock Exchange invite you to the fifth edition of the Financial Education Day – a nationwide event that presents the world of investing, personal finance and economic education in an accessible way. Participation in the event is free, both in-person and online. Bankier.pl is the media patron of the event.
Financial Education Day is an initiative aimed at increasing the financial awareness of Poles, promoting responsible investing and supporting economic education among various social groups – from pupils and students, through teachers, to individual investors. Event participants will receive over 10 hours of practical knowledge and 34 educational sessions – from lectures and discussion panels to workshops and meetings with experts.
We invite you to register and read the agenda on the website dzienedukacjifinansowej.pl
The program includes three main thematic paths:
• Investing in the stock market – for beginners and active investors.
• Financial education of children and youth – for teachers and parents.
• Personal finances and retirement – for everyone who wants to manage their budget better.
The event will begin with an online lesson for schools as part of the EduAkcja program, with a lecture by Dr. Wiesław Rozłucki, the first President of the WSE, “The stock exchange as the heart of the economy – why businesses and citizens need a capital market?”.
After the ceremonial inauguration, an expert panel will be held in the Quotations Hall with the participation of representatives of key capital market institutions “You can afford to invest – start where you are, with what you have!”. During the discussion, the results of the latest research on the attitudes of individual investors will be presented. The panel will be led by Dr. Hab. Katarzyna Sekścińska, prof. University of Warsaw
The initiative also includes a special program for capital market research groups and a dedicated workshop “Education with capital – introduction to the world of investment”, which is addressed to teachers of business and management and other economic subjects.
The organizers encourage event participants, both physically and online, to test their skills in an interactive investing knowledge quiz (https://quiz.app.hrcode.io/), which will be available from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The speakers will include experts from the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the GPW Foundation, PKO Bank Polski, the National Depository for Securities, the BOŚ Brokerage House, BETA ETF, the National Center for Economic Education, PFR Portal PPK, TFI PZU, Credit Agricole, as well as representatives of the academic community and public institutions.
Participants will also be able to visit partners' fairs in the main hall of the Stock Exchange Center.
The event is held as part of the global World Investor Week (WIW) campaign, organized under the auspices of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), which aims to promote investment education and investor protection. The event is held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
