“The enemy continues to attack the country’s energy infrastructure. According to Chernigovoblenergo, an energy facility has been hit. Not in Slavutych!” the mayor of the city, Yuriy Fomichev, said on Facebook. “Specialists are already working to eliminate the accident and restore power supply. We are transferring the water utility to backup power, water will appear soon. Heat supply to gardens and schools and hospitals are open.”
The Kyiv OVA reported that the invincibility points in Slavutich were ready for operation.
Context
The aggressor country Russia has been attacking the Ukrainian energy system since 2022, which is why Ukraine lost more than 9 GW of generation last year.
