An extremely powerful explosion occurred on Friday morning at a block of flats in the Rahova district, in sector 5 of the Capital. The first images show that two floors of the eight-story block were affected, the most destroyed being apartments on the upper floors, on the corner of the building.

The explosion occurred on the 5th and 6th floors of an 8-story building, the Department of Emergency Situations reported. The authorities have announced that there are more victims and the red intervention plan has been activated.
