The Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Territory spoke about the work of the air ambulance service

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, air ambulances provided assistance to 2,359 patients over 9 months.

2,196 patients required evacuation, including 473 children under 18 years of age. In another 252 cases, air ambulances delivered doctors to the sick, who performed operations on the spot.

In total, 1,430 aircraft flights were carried out to provide medical assistance with a total flight time of 4,977 hours. The discrepancy between the numbers is explained by the fact that doctors try to evacuate several patients at once.

“Doctors from the territory of the region turn to the help of air ambulances in difficult or emergency situations when the possibilities of providing medical care on the ground have been exhausted. Sanitary flights also deliver emergency medical supplies, including blood components.», — explained in the press service.

Since January of this year, the federal project “Improving Emergency Medical Care” has been included in the national project “Long and Active Life,” which has expanded the capabilities of regional air ambulances to provide emergency and urgent care to residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
