On this occasion, the anniversary edition of the European Week of Sport, held between September 23 and 30 and which brought together tens of thousands of participants and hundreds of initiatives dedicated to promoting movement, health and education in sports, was reviewed.
500 events and over 120,000 participants
The event was also attended by numerous #BeActive ambassadors, prominent names in Romanian sports, members of the management of national sports federations, officials, representatives of the mass media and partner institutions.
Some of the #BeActive ambassadors were also in the room: Mihai Badea, Roxana Scarlat Bârlădeanu, Laura Badea, Alina Dumitru, Otilia Bădescu, Cătălin Bulacu and Filip Ghiorghi — role models and constant supporters of the movement among children and adults.
The #Be Active 2025 anniversary edition saw a record attendance. Specifically: over 500 events held throughout the country and over 120,000 participants, children, young people, adults, seniors and persons with disabilities.
17 events in 19 towns
At the #BeActive Talks podcast, moderated by TV star Roxana Ciuhulescu and adviser at the National Sports Agency, famous names such as Sabrina and Camelia Voinea, Ionuț Rada, Mihai Badea, Amalia Lică and sports psychologist Florentina Ioniță were invited. In less than four months, Caravana held more than 17 events in 13 localities in 9 counties, involving thousands of children and young people who interacted with the ambassadors – active athletes and former Olympic, world and European champions.

The fact that thousands of people joined the activities across the country shows us that Romania has the energy and determination to move together”, said Bogdan – Constantin Matei, president of ANS.
