Scientists from Krasnoyarsk State Medical University have developed a chatbot in Telegram to assess the condition of seriously ill patients. The development helps doctors quickly predict risks.
As the developers explained, the bot uses generally accepted medical techniques to analyze objective clinical and laboratory indicators. The system automatically calculates risks using known prognostic scales, which significantly speeds up the process of assessing the patient’s condition.
“The chatbot has an intuitive interface and a simple menu. Patient data can be entered by doctors of various specialties or nursing staff under the supervision of a doctor,” explained the regional Ministry of Health.
The development has already passed the patenting stage and received a certificate of state registration. Technically, the chatbot is ready for use, but before it can be implemented into widespread clinical practice, it will need to be tested in real medical conditions.
The authors of the project were employees of the Department of Hospital Surgery named after Professor A. M. Dykhno Krasnoyarsk State Medical University, headed by acting. rector Dmitry Cherdantsev, as well as cybernetics students of the university.
