The leaders of the PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR met again on Tuesday to resume the discussions regarding the reform of the public administration and the organization of the elections for the Capital City Hall, topics that the four parties fail to agree.

The meeting of the ruling coalition takes place from 14.00 at the Victoria Palace.

If the PSD requests that the mayors have a choice between personnel discounts and salary cuts for town halls that cannot be expelled, PNL and USR want only personnel discounts.

Moreover, the PSD requires that in the package with the reform of the local administration, the reform is also made at central level. At the center, the commission of institutions, salaries and redundancies – 10% or 20% of the positions occupied are taken into account.

Another topic again on the agenda of the Coalition meeting, to which so far no agreement has been reached, is the one regarding the organization of elections for the City Hall. In this case, misunderstandings start from the candidate.

Social Democrats say they do not agree that PNL and USR have a common candidate. PSD proposes the variant of the candidate supported by all the parties in the coalition or that of the separated candidates – each party with their own candidate.

USR requires the elections to be organized as soon as possible. On Monday, the leader of the USR senators, Stefan Pălărie, said that “this week, the governing coalition must decide to organize the elections. Any other decision seems, rather, a cowardice gesture and can only have a single explanation: certain political forces are afraid of the vote of the citizens in Bucharest. an.

The party led by Dominic Fritz does not agree with the common candidate.

“The time of the unique candidates has gone. The idea that the parties decide at the green table, and the citizens only validate by vote, it is a bad one. There must be options and elections in two laps, that the final decision be the people,” Fritz told RFI in September.

According to Hotnews information, PSD does not agree with the date of the election date, until there is an agreement on the candidate.

Sorin Grindeanu also requires that, once taken a decision related to the candidacy for the General City Hall, it will be passed as an annex in the Coalition Protocol.
