In a Facebook post, the Hungarian leader said that at the meeting of European leaders in Copenhagen, at the beginning of October, Brussels would have presented a military plan that “Europe would pay, the Ukrainians would fight, and Russia would be exhausted.”

Orban stressed that Hungary did not request such a plan and that, after the summit, it was targeted by a coordinated campaign against it, which included spy charges, false news and legal manipulations.

“We cannot look at this inactive! We must demonstrate again that the Hungarian people do not want war. That is why we start to gather signatures against the war plans in Brussels.”said the prime minister.

The signature campaign is open “To all the Hungarians of peace” And it was promoted by Orban through several photos posted from the Farzsebet farmers market, including one in which it signs the petition against the EU military plans.

In parallel, Orban resumed older accusations against Ukrainian secret services, which he accuses of having infiltrated the Tisza Opposition Party and in Hungary's political life, to support forces “Pro-Ukrainian”.

“The Russians are already in the room, now we must say,” The Ukrainians are already in your smartphone. “We will not allow that!”the prime minister said in a reposted interview on the X platform.

This position comes in the context of a recent investigation report, according to which Hungary has spied on the structures of the European Union for years and has tried to recruit EU officials to promote national interests.
