Four people died from an armed attack in the state of Mississippi. Aggression took place at a local holiday

Four people were killed and another 12 were injured, four of them, following a mass -armed attack in the American state Mississippi.

The shootings took place around the middle of the night on the main street in Leland, a town located at 190 km northeast of the state capital, Jackson, told BBC the mayor of the town, John Lee.
Four of the wounded were transported by plane to the hospital, Lee added. No suspect was detained, but the police are looking for an 18 -year -old, suspected of committing the attack.
Leland was more crowded than usual on Friday, the Local High School having a football match to mark Homecoming, an annual American tradition, usually in the fall, when the former students are received back to celebrate the school spirit and the community.
The mayor said that the shootings did not take place on the campus of Leland High School.
“This is an event that we have been organizing annually for years and we have had no such incidents,” never “Lee told BBC.
“And we are a city that we all understand and everyone knows everyone. So this is definitely a tragedy for us.”
An exchange of deadly fire was reported on Friday evening and in another small town in Mississippi, Heidelberg, about 320 km southeast of Leland.
This attack also took place during the weekend and caused the death of two people, the head of the Heidelberg police chief, Cornell White, told Press.
There is no indication that the shootings in Leland and Heidelberg would be linked.
