Video “rockets come one after the other.” New massive air attack on Kiev, half the city is without electricity
Kiev was again the target of a large Russian attack on Thursday night, on Friday, which caused an interruption of electricity supply in the eastern half of the Ukrainian capital, the local authorities announced, AFP reports, adding that its journalists there have heard many explosions as well as the noise.
The Ukrainian air forces wrote on Telegram that it is an “enemy attack with ballistic missiles and a massive attack with attack drones” and asked the population to stay in shelters.
At the national level, “the Russians launch massive attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure,” the Ministry of Energy said on Facebook.

“The rockets come one after the other”
The journalists from Kyiv Independent also wrote that strong explosions and ballistic missiles were held around 2:30 in the morning. Other explosions were heard around 3:30 in the morning.
“From the explosions that just took place – an attack with ballistic missiles is ongoing. Rockets, one after the other, the air defense is active,” said the head of the military administration of Kiev, Tymur Tkachenko, at 02:41 in the morning, confirming the reports on ballistic missiles.
In Kiev, “the left bank (East, no) is without electricity. There are also problems with the water network,” wrote Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram, according to which “the enemy attacks the essential infrastructure of the city”.
An AFP journalist living in the east of Kiev also found the lack of electricity and drinking water and confessed that this part of the city was immersed in total darkness.
The impact was so great that, rarely, the metro traffic was interrupted until new orders in the eastern part of the Dnieper, the municipal administration announced.
In Kyiv, nine inhabitants of a housing block were injured, according to local authorities.

The attacks also affected the Zaporojie region, in the center of the country, where a seven -year -old died and three people were injured during the night.
“The doctors fought for the child's life until the end, but the wounds proved too serious,” said regional governor Ivan Fedorov.
The city was initially attacked with Drone Shahed around 2:00 in the morning, one of them hitting a residential building and causing a large fire.
The ballistic missiles then targeted the region again around 5:00 in the morning, leading to explosions throughout the city.
Russia attacks the Ukrainian energy system again
Russia bombers Ukrainian cities daily from the beginning of its invasion in February 2022, mainly aiming at energy infrastructure as winter is approaching.
On Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski criticized the multiplication of these attacks against Moscow, which also affects the railway infrastructure and led to calls to evacuate families with children.
“The objective of Russia is to resemble chaos, to exert psychological pressure on people,” he said.
Zelenski emphasized “a strong pressure from the Russian attacks” on the Ukrainian gas sector, which could force Kiev to increase imports.
Ukraine also regularly hits Russia, in particular for refineries, which has caused an increase in fuel prices in this country since the summer. Zelenski estimated the “fuel shortage to 20% in the necessary” in Russia.
Ukraine recently hit a power plant in the Russian Border Border region, causing current interruptions.
