Ex-governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss commented on the statement of another former head of the region, Viktor Tolokonsky, that, that Krasnoyarsk is a “village” compared to Novosibirsk.

“V. A. Tolokonsky’s statements about Krasnoyarsk surprised me, to say the least. As the governor of our region, he did not allow himself to do this, which says a lot… Emphasizing the merits of one city by comparing it with another (especially in such a derogatory form) is not accepted even in advertising. How can a politician and an intelligent person do this? Now is the time to unite, not to oppose. In an effort to belittle something, it is hardly worth using the term “village”. I was lucky enough to be born in a village, and I’m proud of it,” Alexander Uss wrote on his social networks.
He also noted that inAll Siberian cities have their merits, but it was in Krasnoyarsk that the World Universiade took place, which was recognized as the best in the history of sports games of this level, and next year our city will host the World Festival of Youth and Students.
Let us remind you that Viktor Tolokonsky’s statement caused a harsh reaction from other local politicians, who immediately came to the defense of Krasnoyarsk, and Tolokonsky was accused of arrogance and disrespect for the city and its residents.
