A 20-year-old lost his life on Wednesday night, on the A14 highway in Germany, after the car he was driving was violently hit by a stationary truck, driven by a Romanian driver. The impact was devastating, and the highway was blocked for several hours.

The accident occurred near Großwaitzschen, in the Mitesachsen district, around 9:00 pm. On the direction of walking to Nossen, a light collision had taken place, which had caused a small traffic jam.
A 41-year-old Ford Transporter driver entered an Audi stopped, and immediately after him, an Iveco truck hit Ford. “Four passengers in Ford Transit and his driver were slightly injured”, Said the German police, quoted by the TAG24 publication.
The Iveco truck, driven by a 28 -year -old Romanian, was stopped on the left band, while the area was to be secured. At that moment, a BMW led by the 20 -year -old came at high speed and crashed behind the truck. The force of the collision was huge, the truck was pushed in the parapet, and the car was completely crushed.
The young driver died at the hospital, the Romanian driver was injured
The intervention crews arrived quickly on the spot, but the young man's wounds were too serious. “Despite the efforts of the doctors, the young Syrian could not be savedT ”, the police from Leipzig said.
The driver of the Romanian truck was, in turn, injured and transported to the hospital for medical care.
The highway, blocked for hours
After the accident, the A14 highway was completely closed for several hours, being reopened to traffic only after 2:20 at night. The prosecutor's office ordered the confiscation of both vehicles for technical expertise, and the police continue the investigations to establish the exact causes of the tragedy.
According to the authorities, the material damage amounts to about 34,000 euros.
