The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, told Digi24 that a new legislative change is taken into account that increases access to blood tests. Thus, the collection of analysis could be done in the family medicine offices, where there is infrastructure, and the samples are processed by the laboratories of public hospitals.

“If we apply a set of measures and a set of legislative changes, a set of reforms, we can restore the services in the system so that, with the same budget, which is not a small one, we are talking about a budget of approximately 80 billion, a budget that has doubled in the last four years, we can make the services more efficient and, very important, we can increase people's access to the health services,” said Alexandru.

He gave as an example the settlement by the National Health Insurance House of the services performed by mobile caravans, which will increase the access of patients living in disadvantaged areas and will stimulate public hospitals and private hospitals can organize, either separately or in partnership, mobile screening caravans for cardiology, oncology.

“There is nothing beaten in nails”

“This measure can be applied immediately, with the publication of the package in the Official Gazette and is, perhaps, the first transparent and correct and reliable partnership between the public system and the private health system,” Rogobete added.

He also referred to the growth of the work program in the specialized ambulatory until 8 pm, where you can and for the specialties for which it is possible.

“We had a good, recent discussion, with the president of the National Health Insurance House and with Mr. Prime Minister, with Mr. Ilie Bolojan, and we think in the near future, until the end of this year, of a new legislative change in which to increase people's access to blood analysis. Because we have seen in the past, there was a certain week. Laboratory analysis, blood tests.

He emphasized the important role of family doctors, saying he appreciates the work they do. “I greatly appreciate them for the work they do, they have often been put in an unpleasant hypostasis in the face of public opinion, but it is not their fault that the system was perhaps careless or non-functional,” said Alexandru Rogobete.

He explained that, in principle, the collection of analysis could be done in the family medicine offices, where there is infrastructure, and the samples are processed by the laboratories of public hospitals.

“It is just an idea, there is nothing to be beaten at the moment, but it is a mechanism, if you want, an administrative formula that happens in many European states, especially in Spain, from there is the model,” said Rogobete.
