A man will be tried in Krasnoyarsk for stabbing a stranger during a fight 10 years ago. The regional prosecutor's office spoke about this.

Everything happened in August 2015. A group of young people were standing at the pavilion on Metallurgov Avenue when a car passing by slightly touched one of them. As a result, a quarrel broke out and escalated into a fight. The accused took out a knife and inflicted only one blow on the 23-year-old enemy, but it was fatal. The blade damaged the femoral artery. The young man died on the way to the hospital, but the aggressor fled with his friends.

“In 2015, a repeatedly convicted Krasnoyarsk resident managed to evade investigation for a while. He shifted the blame onto his friend, who, according to him, went abroad and is hiding there. The case was suspended,” the press service of the supervisory agency reported.

However, in 2025, the prosecutor's office re-examined the materials of the criminal case. A detailed analysis was carried out, movement diagrams of each participant in the conflict were drawn up – this made it possible to identify the true culprit.

The prosecutor charged the man with intentionally causing grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in the death of the victim (Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The criminal case was sent to the Sovetsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk for further consideration.
