In Krasnoyarsk, divers from the KrasKom company examined underwater pipelines in the Yenisei.
Work to clear debris from the security zone specialists conducted research on the pipes (drainage crossings) running along the river bottom connecting the water intake on Tatyshev Island with the water supply networks of the Sovetsky and part of the Central districts.and this week.
The underwater world of the Yenisei, the bottom of which in the city limits is covered with algae, and the shores with bushes, is not as vibrant as the marine ecosystem. All year round, municipal “divers” work in cold and murky water, moving along the muddy bottom almost by touch.
The most common finds he encounters during a dive are bottles, cans, fishing rods, scrap metal, and tires. A thorough visual inspection of the siphons in the Tatyshev channel did not reveal any defects.
“First of all, our divers clean the Yenisei for the safety of the city’s drinking water supply. Metal structures thrown into the river can damage pipes and leave several areas of the city without cold water. Therefore, we must always be sure that underwater communications are airtight. And if the water pipelines do need repairs, then the technical equipment and qualifications of our specialists allow them to efficiently and quickly carry out underwater technical work on siphon crossings,” said Oleg Goncherov, General Director of KrasCom.

In total, at the beginning of this year, submariners examined 10 of the 12 km of siphon crossings maintained by the enterprise. What other surprises are hidden in the river depth will be revealed by further bypassing the underwater pipelines in the Yenisei.
