Nest Bank, together with Visa, responds to these needs, began piloting an unusual service – recycling of payment cards. The bank's actions are a step towards sustainable finances and allow clients to get rid of cards after their validity.

Nest Bank conducted a pilot recycling of cards together with Visa and Tag Systems, says cashless.pl. The words of Aneta Hofman, director of the Nest Bank payment card department, show that the solution supports the idea of a closed circulation economy and increases the safety of users who can transfer used cards to re -processing. Nest Bank also draws attention to the costs that the cards generate for the environment after the expiry date, because most of them go to dumps in huge quantities.
Special envelope for an old card
Card recycling tests consisted in the fact that the customer together with the resumed card received a specially prepared envelope, in which he could put with an old card and send it to the address indicated. Tag Systems was responsible for deleting the user's data and utilization, which was chosen by Visa after analyzing its experience in the processing of raw materials.
Representatives of entities involved in pilot say that the solution has met with positive customer reactions, and the process is consistent with visa safety standards. “The initiative can become an indicator for the market in Poland” – comments Izabela Szatkowska from Tag Systems.
