Hołownia reminded that the change in the position results from the provisions of the coalition agreement between the groups included in the current majority. According to the agreement, the Polish leader 2050 acts as the Speaker of the Sejm for the first half of the term, while in the second half it is to be replaced by a representative of the left.

– We agreed with Włodzimierz Czarzasty that on November 13 I would give up the effect on November 19, because this day the sitting of the Sejm is sitting – Hołownia informed during Tuesday's briefing in the Sejm. He explained that the date of transferring the function originally fell on November 14, but on this day no meeting was planned, which is why it was moved by a few days.

The change in the position of the Speaker of the Sejm is part of a broader agreement concluded by the third road, the Civic Coalition and the new left after the parliamentary election in 2023. Włodzimierz Czarzasty, who has been the deputy marshal since the beginning of his term, has already confirmed that he was ready to take over the marshal's duties within the time limit provided for in the agreement. – This is a natural element of the coalition agreement.
