On Monday, the largest Israeli organization of close victims and hostages of Hamas called to award the US President Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to free 48 Israelis remaining in captivity in the Gaza Strip.

“Last year, no leader or organization contributed to world peace more than President Trump. He not only talked about peace – he introduced him” – wrote families kidnapped in a letter to the Nobel Primary Institute, which will award his distinction on Friday.
The Israeli organization emphasized that negotiations around Trump's 20-point plan are currently taking place, which is to lead to a room in the Gaza Strip, including the release of hostages. “For the first time in months we hope that our nightmare will end,” wrote loved ones.
We believe that Trump will not rest until all hostages are released, the war will end, and the inhabitants of the Middle East will be restored peace and prosperity – they added.
Hamas informed on Friday evening that he had adopted some of Trump's plan, which was previously accepted by Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Palestinian group agreed to release all Israeli hostages and give power over the Gaza Strip. Hamas added that the remaining points require further arrangements and expressed readiness for immediate negotiations. The talks conducted by intermediaries began on Monday in the Egyptian Sharm El-Schak.
Trump's plan assumes that Hamas will release all living hostages and return the bodies of the dead in 72 hours after its acceptance. According to the Israeli authorities, 20 kidnapped and 28 already dead bodies remain in the gauze zone.
At the beginning of July, Netanyahu announced in the White House that he nominated Trump for a peaceful Nobel Prize. However, this candidacy will be considered in 2026. Proposals for this year's award had to be submitted by the end of January 2025.
Trump has suggested several times that he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize.
The war in the Gaza Strip has been going on from October 7, 2023, when the rulers of this territory Hamas attacked the south of Israel, killing about 1,200 people and kidnapping 251, of which 47 are still imprisoned. According to the Israeli authorities, there are still 20 hostages. Hamas also holds the body of an Israeli soldier killed in 2014. Over 67.1 thousand died in the war.
