The foreign policy analyst and the expert in the ex-Soviet space, Armand Goșu, considers that the SRI does not currently have the ability to carry out the mission announced by President Nicuşor Dan, to combat the Russian influence in Romania. In addition, he considers that the Romanian secret services did not warn the political leaders on the hybrid attack on our country.
“Now he does not have! Maybe in the future … with a new leadership, he may have. Now, no!”, Said, in an interview with News.ro, Professor Armand Goşu, a specialized historian on the ex-Soviet space.
He considers that the Romanian secret services did not actually warn the politicians regarding a danger from Moscow.
“But the way, for example, a few days ago it was launched on sources in the press that the reports of the services were warning … No one saw those reports! This is an operation of manipulation, coverage, mystification of the truth specific to the secret services! Who want to remove any suspicion on them and to throw the suspicion on the politicians: State, we did not work with the Russians! I have seen things like this, it is a specific practice of KGB, ”said Goșu.
Romania resembles Russia from the point of view of state organization, because militarized structures play an important role in politics, in administration, notes News.ro. What distinguishes them, says Professor Armand Goşu, is that in Moscow the militarized elites are waiting for a little to deliver benefits.
