I cook oatmeal now only like that – it turns out crumbly and tender: even yesterday does not turn into rubber

If you want to cook oatmeal, which is scattered, soft and does not turn into rubber even the next day, then try to cook it differently. You just need to change the procedure a little.

What needs to be done:

  • Take quick -cook oatmeal. For 1 cup of flakes you need 2 cups of water or milk.
  • First boil the liquid, and then pour the flakes. Many do the opposite – and get lumps.
  • As soon as the flakes fall into boiling water, immediately reduce the fire to a minimum, cover with a lid and do not interfere. Let it languish for 3-4 minutes.
  • Then turn off, add a pinch of salt, a spoonful of honey or a piece of oil and let stand under the lid for another 2 minutes.

Such an oatmeal does not burn, does not turn into jelly and remains soft even after 12 hours. And most importantly, you don’t need to stand at the stove with a spoon: threw it, forgot, returned and the porridge is ready.

If you add berries, nuts or a piece of banana, you get a full dessert without sugar.

Question-answer:

Is it possible to cook oatmeal in milk?
Yes, but make sure that it does not run away. It is better to mix milk with water 1: 1.

Why can't you interfere with oatmeal when cooking?
The interference destroys the structure of flakes, as they distinguish starch and become adhesive.
