President Nicușor Dan participated on Friday night in the opening event of “Romanian Creative Week – Bucharest”, organized at the National Museum of Art of Romania. Asked by a journalist Realitatea Plus about the report on Russia's hybrid war, which he presented on Thursday to European leaders, the head of state refused to answer.
“We wanted to come to this opening exhibition of Romanian Creative Week because we want to support the creative industries in Romania. There are areas in which Romania has a competitive advantage and one of them is the creative industries. I invite Bucharest to come to these exhibitions,” said the president.
Nicușor Dan was asked by the Realitateplus reporter about the report “Analysis on the hybrid war carried out by the Russian Federation against Romania”, a document that the president presented on Thursday to European leaders. The analysis mentioned Călin Georgescu and Horațiu Potra, sent to court in mid -September for committing actions against the constitutional order and the communication of false information.
The reporter asked the head of state “how could he go with a report that contains data from a criminal case arrived on the court table” and “how can be involved in justice”.
“We are at a cultural event. It is good from time to time to relax,” the president replied.
Asked about the financing of the culture, Nicușor Dan said that “indeed, we have a budget problem at this moment, and the budget problem goes to all the sectors.” “What this event is trying to do and what we try to do here is to stimulate the private part of the culture. When the state will have money, obviously to do more,” concluded President Nicușor Dan.
