The Employment Service has announced the amount of benefits for the unemployed in 2026: the minimum payment is 1,863 rubles, the maximum is 15,886 rubles. Every year from February the amount is indexed.
As the Saratov 24 TV channel reports with reference to the State Services portal, the size of the payment depends on how long the person worked before applying. If over the last year there was a period of work of more than 26 weeks, the benefit is calculated from the average earnings for three months. In the first three months, this is 75% of average earnings, but not more than 15,886 rubles. In the next three months – 60%, but not more than 6,209 rubles. If the period of work was shorter, a minimum benefit is assigned, but not more than three months a year.
You can receive benefits every month, but not longer than six months. For pre-retirees, this period is longer. To register, you need to post your resume on the Jobs in Russia portal. You can register online through State Services or in person at the employment center at your place of residence.
To be recognized as unemployed, you need to submit an application, fill out a form and agree on an individual plan, which will be drawn up by the employment service. The benefit will not be given to those who are under 16 years old, already receiving a pension or registered as self-employed.
