The Kremlin said on Thursday that the United States and NATO alliance are already providing Ukraine with regular information in response to the press reports that Washington will provide Kiev with energy infrastructure targets, Reuters reports.
Both The Wall Street Journal and Reuters have written that the US will provide Ukraine with deep energy targets on Russia, while analyzing Kiev's missile that could be used in such attacks.
“The United States of America sends Ukraine regularly online,” Kremlin spokesman told reporters.
“The provision and use of the entire NATO and the United States infrastructure for collecting and transferring information to Ukrainians is obvious,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump's frustration towards Putin, increasing
Washington has long been dividing information with Kiev, but has not been openly declared to participate in the attack of Russian energy facilities and the US have been involved directly in Russia's attacks.
The White House did not immediately respond to Reuters's request to comment on the press reports, which appeared against the background of the rhetoric of US President Donald Trump against Russia, less than two months after hosted Russian Vladimir Putin at the Alaska summit.
Trump expressed his deep frustration for Putin's refusal to accept an armistice in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to advance in eastern Ukraine, while some European leaders have denounced the regular incursions of Russian drones into their airspace. Moscow denies that he had intentionally violated NATO's airspace.
Ukraine has repeatedly hit the Russian refineries in the last two months, which has affected the processing and has caused a sudden growth of oil exports in Russia, which is already the second world exporter of oil.
The Wall Street Journal wrote that the measure that the US intends to take on the exchange of information would facilitate Ukraine's hitting the energy infrastructure, such as refineries, pipes and power plants, in order to deprive the Kremlin of income and oil.
The US is currently analyzing a request for Ukraine on Tomahawk cruise missiles, which have a range of 2,500 km (1,550 miles) – long enough to hit Moscow and most of the European Russia if launched from Ukraine.
After Ukraine has launched American Raches Ataches and British Storm Shadow on Russia last year, Putin ordered the launch of a hypersonic rocket on Ukraine.
At that time, the Kremlin leader said that Russia reserves the right to hit military facilities in countries that allow Ukraine to use their missiles to hit Russia. He also said that Moscow could carry out his own missiles at a distance that would allow the western states to be hit if Russia is attacked.
