Russia has intensified long -range attacks against Ukraine in September, according to an AFP analysis published on Wednesday, this intensification coming against a blockage of peace negotiations and violations of the European air space attributed to Moscow.
According to a France Presse analysis of the daily reports of the Ukrainian air army, Russia has launched 5,638 long -range drones and 185 missiles against Ukraine during September night attacks, which represents an increase of 36% compared to the previous month.
In August, the attacks had decreased by one third compared to July, in the context in which the diplomatic efforts had intensified to end the Russian invasion.
US President Donald Trump received his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in mid -August in Alaska, hoping for a dialog to make results, but this meeting has not led to any progress.
Even Russia said in September that the peace discussions with Ukraine are “in pause”, while the Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said that the goal of Moscow remains “occupying the whole of Ukraine.”
Record attack on the night of September 6 to 7
In September, Russia launched a record number of 810 drones on Ukraine on the night of 6 to 7. This massive bombing hit the Ukrainian government headquarters in the center of Kiev, a premiere since the beginning of the war.
The Ukrainian air army said that he had shot down or intercepted 87% of Russian drones and 68% of rockets during these night attacks.
To counteract these attacks, Ukraine uses fighter jets, helicopters, mobile anti -aircraft, electronic jamming devices and new methods, such as intercepting drones.
The centralized AFP data came from the first estimates of the Air Force on the number of long -range drones and Russian rockets detected every night.
Russia has attacked Ukraine every night from May 10, after the completion of a three -day “armistice” announced by Vladimir Putin, who coincided with a large military parade on the Red Square in Moscow.
On the night of September 30 to October 1, according to Ukrainian air forces, Russia attacked with 49 drones and 5 missiles, of which 44 drones were shot down and there were strokes in 6 places.
