Former coach from Liverpool and Chelsea has suicide

Matt Beard, a former coach from the women's teams from Liverpool and Chelsea, died at the age of 47. He was found hanged in his own home.

On the evening of September 20, the paramedics were called to the house of the former coach, and when they arrived they immediately transported him to the hospital. Even though he was found hanged in his house, Beard died at 9:15 pm, after the family agreed to be disconnected from the devices that were still holding him alive, according to goal.com.

In a meeting on Monday, September 29, forensic John Griffiths, set the cause of Matt Beard's death: suicide.

After the death of the former coach appeared in the public space, his son created a post on the social networks that transmitted to people that suicide is not a solution.

“Suicide is never the solution. Ask for help. Please do not take your life. We all miss you, father,” he said.

The thoughts of everyone at the club are with Matt's family and friends in these devastating moments. Matt was not only an extremely dedicated and successful coach, but also a truly integral and hot person, who will always be remembered with an honest affection by all those who worked with him at the club.

Matt Beard, dismissed a month before suicide

Chelsea is the team by which Matt was noticed as a women's football coach, preparing the London band during 2009-2012.

In 2012 he arrived in Liverpool, where he remained until 2015. Here he managed to bring the first and only 2 title of the band “Cormorants”, in 2013 and 2014.

After short mandates in Boston and West Ham, Beard returned to the Liverpool women's team, where he trained until February 2025.

In June, he signed with the Burnley women's team, but was dismissed after only 2 months, at the end of August. After this experience he did not sign with anyone, and a month away he committed suicide.
