The Multipurpose Hall in Tulcea should be completed in July of this year, according to Freedom. Although the completion was anticipated since last year, the stage of work is about 97%.
The costs of the new sports arena amount to 25 million euros. The money came from the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration through the National Investment Company, and the beneficiary is Tulcea County Council. The arena will have a capacity of 4,670 seats, a main field on which the competitions will be hosted, and below it will be a training field.

Initially, the first promised deadline for the completion of the works was April 2025. Given that this deadline was not met, the inauguration was rescheduled for December 1, Romania's National Day, a deadline publicly mentioned including by the president of the Tulcea County Council, Horia Teodorescu.
That deadline was not met either, so the inauguration was once again postponed, more precisely until the first quarter (January-March period) of 2026.
According to the information published by Libertatea, CNI representatives specified that updates to the technical-economic documentation were necessary, including in the context of the change in the prices of construction materials.
Thus, the new term advanced by the institution indicates the month of July as a possible time to complete one of the most expensive sports infrastructure projects in Tulcea county.
The new venue will benefit from a main competition court surrounded by grandstands with a capacity of up to 4,670 seats, a training ground located in the basement of the building under the footprint of the main court, underground parking, team and officials changing rooms, press areas and a conference room.
