Trump referred to the meeting in Quantico, Virginia on Tuesday, where Generals and Admirals worldwide were summoned without prior explanation, to nuclear submarines near Russia, in response to comments made by former Russian president Dmitri Medvedev, which he described as “provocative”.

“We were a little threatened by Russia recently and sent a submarine, a nuclear submarine, the most lethal weapon ever created,” said Trump, quoted by NBC News.

“First of all, it cannot be detected. There is no way. We are 25 years before Russia and China in terms of submarines,” the White House leader continued.

“Honestly, if they were to use them, we have more than anyone else,” Trump added, referring to the nuclear arsenal of the United States. “We have better, newer weapons, but it is something we don't even want to be able to think,” said US president.

Trump ordered in August this year that two nuclear submarines should be strategically positioned near Russia, in response to what he called the aggressive remarks of Dmitri Medvedev, the former president of the country and the current vice -president of the Security Council.

“He was truly a stupid person … He mentioned the word” nuclear “,” Trump said, adding later: “I say the word with N. There are two words with N and you are not allowed to use any of them,” Trump said, according to CNN.

At another moment, Trump said some army war vessels are “ugly”.

“I am a very aesthetic person. I do not like some of the ships you build aesthetically,” the US president said.
